Is Mathematics a Language?

 Firstly, mathematic is a study of relationship using numbers, shapes and quantities. Also it uses signs, codes, symbols, equation, proofs etc. Whereas, language is system of communication using words. These two form of arguments represent something totally different things from each other. At the same time, there are also something significant about these two, where one another can or cannot do. A person can use a language without having any knowledge on mathematics at all. Where, in the other hand, a person cannot use mathematics without having any knowledge of language at all. Consequently, we can look at this statement from different point of view.

We cannot imply such things as "I want a Hamburger" using mathematics. As some people may argue back that you cannot tell the area of an object without Mathetmatics either. This is where, we can aslo bind in the idea of grammar, syntax, axioms, arithmetic, geometry and symbols together with language an mathetics in order to create a tool more strongly to be a part of commincation system. Lastly, yet in my opinion, I still, therefore am not certain for sure if mathematics could be catogorize as a part of language.

 

Is it possible to think without language?

Language is a system that human use to communicate with words to each other. Without languages, sure it will be difficult to relate or communicate with others. But as when it comes to thinking, I personally feel that it 'is' possible to  think without language, as you can picture stuff or situation in your head as well. Language is only one of the expressions of communication that we humans use. In the other hand, there is still the concept of audio, visual and sensory methods that we can use to communicate. For example, if I say "blue" you can't really use language to describe the meaning, unless you visually show it and therefore they will understand you. Furthermore, babies aren't born with education or any idea about language either, but yet, they think.
You can also communicate with people who does not speak the same langugage as you and when you try or attempt to communicate with them, you still are able to do it by using visual form. Language is just a tool to communicate, but that does not end the way in which you can think or any measure of how your brain can function.

What I believe...

I believe that everything happens for a reason. This is because, the reason why we're writing or getting this task assigned from our teacher has the reason in which Mr. Mick wants us to think and link about the Theory of Knowledge. And the what I am doing know is happening for the reason in which I have to complete the given task by the teacher. The reason why I go to school is to educate myself. The reason why I'm breathing is to keep me alive. The reason why people get married id because they love each other. All these happenings and situations occur all because of a reason for their beings. So this is why I believe that everything happens for a reason.

What I know...

I know that I study in New International School of Thailand. This is because I have a valid evidence of pictures memoirs, the uniform I wear everyday and the books that I have in my bag. Furthermore, while I am typing this, I am in in the venue of the school itself and the tablet that the school provided me as well. I have friends and teachers to better myself in every way possible. I am certain about this because I see logos of school everywhere I move around while I am here.
